"Desire Path: A term in landscape architecture used to describe a path that isn’t designed but rather is worn casually away by people finding the shortest distance between two points."
I am motivated by all means of vibrant, ecstatic co-creation: ritual, dance, sharing, music, poetry, healing with food and herbs, burning man, laughter, cultivation of abundance and biodiversity, entheogenic experiences, dreaming, honoring synchroicity and myth-making. I love words, books, glyphs, stars, flowers, vegetables, fungi, campfires, scrabble, northern new mexico, spooning.
I grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where a dried-up arroyo is a child's playground. Here, I found shards of broken bottles, juniper berries, crumpled old grocery lists, rotting apricots, sparrow's eggs, piñon nuts ripe for rattling, petrified newspapers, quartz crystals, ristra-fallen chiles, arrowheads, and micaceous sand that sparkles in the high desert sunshine. Magic remains my mirror. I make humble offerings to source, every day.
I've spent the past two years exploring Mexico and Guatemala, and discovering the ritual of solitude, that creation is ongoing, and that waking is the flipside of dreaming. I live in Northern California.
